John Zink Hamworthy Combustion uses a Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer (PDPA) with a He-Ne laser to characterize the droplet size and distribution of spray gun designs. Specifically, the PDPA was used to develop our new HEROTM oil gun technology, which uses 35 to 50% less steam while reducing NOx by 20 to 30%.
