John Zink Institute™ Receives Accreditation
TULSA, Okla., Aug., 20, 2003 - The John Zink Institute™, the leading industry resource on the latest combustion technologies and techniques, has earned certification of its educational process from the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). The internationally recognized accreditation confirms that Zink's programs meet the IACET criteria, and it is approved to award the continuing education unit (CEU), the hallmark of quality in continuing education and training.
To receive its accreditation, Zink participated in a comprehensive authorization process including a strict evaluation of its educational organization, two reviews by IACET's commission, and a site visit by an IACET commissioner.
"We understand the importance of continuing education and training for engineers in the combustion industry," said Dr. Chuck Baukal, director of the John Zink Company Research and Development Test Center. "Our recent accreditation complements Zink's commitment to provide accurate, comprehensive knowledge for today's challenging operating environments."
Zink offers schools and seminars on burner, flare, biogas, vapor control and thermal oxidizer systems. IACET was created to provide both a forum for discussion of education standards and an organizational body to promote quality standards. IACET certifies education providers that meet strict continuing education guidelines that are based upon in-depth research on the learning process.
