TODD® Rapid Mix Burners [Patented] Selected for Calpine's Baytown Energy Center
Ultra-low NOx burners from John Zink Company to meet Texas emission requirements
Las Vegas, NV (Dec. 11, 2001) - Foster Wheeler Limited (FWL) recently selected TODD Rapid Mix BurnersTM (RMBs) to comply with state emission requirements at Calpine's Baytown Energy Center in Baytown, Texas. John Zink Company will supply two gas-only ultra low-NOx TODD burner systems for installation in two 375,000 lb/hr FWL "D" type boilers. These burners are designed to meet emission regulations requiring 9ppm or less of NOx without the use of SCR technology.
The TODD ultra-low emission RMB reduces NOx to less than 9 ppm, CO to less than 25 ppm and VOCs to less than 3 ppm, while firing natural gas. The RMB can be used on new boilers and as a retrofit on existing units.
