COOLflow™ Modeling
Specifically,
John Zink Company uses COOLflow™ modeling to analyze and simulate airflow and
combustion reactions in a burner system. COOLflow™ modeling determines the best
windbox and burner configurations for minimizing start-up time and reducing
excess air, thereby minimizing NOx and enabling superior operating efficiency.
In essence, COOLflow™ modeling removes the guesswork of fuel injection
iteration by equalizing airflow and FGR distribution. Scale models of ducts,
windboxes and burners are fitted with turning vanes, splitters and baffle
plates, and adjusted until the airflow is optimized for your system.
