Our Portable Emission Control System (PECS®) product is a self-contained trailer-mounted vapor combustor. The PECS combustor is a cost-effective, temporary solution to a regulated operational issue, such as VOC emission control. In fact, the PECS combustor meets and often exceeds most emission control requirements.
Based on Zink's enclosed combustor technology, the PECS combustor is designed for either horizontal or vertical operation and does not require heavy equipment for system setup.
Generally, vapors collected during transport loading operations have sufficient heating value to sustain combustion without assist gas. However, the PECS combustor can augment the waste stream when it comprises low heat value vapors.
The PECS combustor incorporates a full complement of safety equipment
including anti-flashback burners, flame and detonation arrestors, and
flame safeguards. The design assures stable smokeless combustion and maintains
temperature control over a wide range of vapor composition. A vapor booster
is on board for low pressure applications that are less than 12-in. WC,
such as tank cleanings.
