Flat-Hearth Burners

SFFR (Low-NOx) GraphicJZ® SFFR Burner (low emission)

The SFFR flat-flame burner is vertically mounted and vertically wall-fired. The SFFR burner takes the next step in stage fuel combustion utilizing an internal, controlled flue gas recirculation system that intimately mixes the primary fuel with inducted flue gas. This process is separated from the combustion air source, allowing the fuel and flue gas to thoroughly mix, and producing a fuel mixture with a lower flame temperature. A key advantage to the SFFR burner over conventionally deeply fuel staged low-NOx burners is the SFFR's use of more primary fuel gas to create higher exit momentum of the fuel injecting into the air stream. The benefits are stiffer flames that adhere to the wall and a burner that uses less staged fuel to achieve low emission levels. Because of the reduced amount of staged fuel, the SFFR burner is less susceptible to flame interaction between burners and flame rollover into the process tubes.

Model JZ LPM-305FJZ® LPMF Burner (ultra-low emssion)
[Patented]

The LPMF burner is a lean premix, flat-flame burner suitable for high-temperature applications that require industry-leading, low emission levels. The LPMF burner is a culmination of past and present technology to meet the most challenging applications. The LPMF burner originates from premix, staged fuel and INFURNOx™ technology. First, the LPMF burner employs venturi to inspirate 100% of the airflow required via the primary fuel jets. A fraction of the fuel is then mixed with all of the combustion air, creating a lean but combustible mixture. The air-fuel mixture exits the venturi assemblies with a high momentum, creating a primary combustion zone that is stiff and stable. Next, the secondary fuel is injected into the combustion zone. With tile geometry enhancements, the stage fuel is delayed from entering the combustion zone, allowing the stage fuel to mix with furnace flue gases. The inerted fuel gas is then introduced into the air stream allowing for complete combustion. The LPMF burner achieves a stiff flame, which is necessary to prevent flame-to-flame interaction and flame rollover. When compared to conventional low-NOx burners, the LPMF burner gains a superior advantage in producing ultra-low emission levels. With a modular design that allows it to be configured specifically to your application, the LPMF burner can be installed through the wall or floor of a furnace, and is well suited for retrofits or new installations.

Radiant Wall Burners

PMS Series BurnerJZ® PMS Burner [Patented]

The PMS burner is a premix radiant-wall burner utilized in ethylene and reforming applications. The PMS burner uses proven technology designed specifically to provide a radial flame that lies flat against the fired wall of a furnace. The combustion process provides a uniform temperature to the fired wall, allowing for even heat flux distribution to the process coils in the radiant section of a fired heater.

Model JZ LPM-305FJZ® LMPW Burner (ultra-low emission)
[Patented]

The LPMW burner is a lean premix radiant-wall burner for ethylene cracking and reformer furnaces. Building on the successful design of the PMS series of burners, the LPMW burner utilizes technology that allows for 100% of the combustion air to be inspirated with a fraction of the fuel through the venturi. The balance of the fuel is then staged to achieve ultra-low emission levels. The LPMW burner technology is excellent for retrofits of existing furnaces as well as new installations.

Round Flame Hearth Burners

PSMR-18 (low NOx) Graphic

PSMR-18 (low NOx) GraphicJZ® SMR-18 Burner (low emission)

The SMR burner is a round-flame burner specifically designed for ethylene applications. The SMR burner is ideal for applications requiring a round flame and utilizes deep fuel staging to entrain flue gases and lower emissions levels compared to conventional fuel-staged burners. The burner's primary fuel jets are fired through a tunnel to inject flue gas into the primary combustion zone. The SMR burner can be employed as either a freestanding flame or wall-fired flame.

Large Scale Vortex LSV Burner

The patented LSV burner technology, licensed from Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. by John Zink for steam methane reforming applications, is designed with a proprietary fluidic flame stabilizer and fuel injectors. The innovative fluidic flame stabilizer requires little fuel in the primary flame zone. The result? Lower peak flame temperatures provide a substantial reduction in NOx emissions. The proprietary injectors enhanced furnace gas entrainment minimizing NOx from the secondary fuel.

The LSV burner is available for process heating applications employing various air supply modes (natural, induced, or forced, ambient or preheat), fuel compositions (Natural gas and refinery fuels), and common burner firing configurations.
