JZ - Process Burner Applications of COOLfuel
An intelligent solution to reduce emissions from any gas-fired burner
COOLfuel is a patented fuel-dilution technology that applies an external
gas conditioning system to reduce both thermal and prompt NOx formation in
any new or existing gas-fired process burner.
How does it work?
COOLfuel employs the kinetic energy of available fuel pressure to dynamically adjust the
fuel mixture and ultimately create a significantly cooler combustion reaction.
The COOLfuel eductor uses available inert gases (such as furnace
flue gas) to lower peak flame temperatures, lower available oxygen concentration, and minimize
reaction times -- all of which reduce NOx emissions. Injecting steam into
the eductor to further dilute the fuel lowers NOx even more.
Compared with standard flue gas recirculation (FGR), COOLfuel achieves a
greater level of NOx reduction and doesn't require a larger combustion air fan.
COOLfuel has become one of the most cost-effective methods for controlling
NOx and improving furnace operation.
- No horsepower required to move flue gases means smaller fan, smaller motor and lower operating costs
- No moving parts results in less maintenance
- No added controls or motors required
- Exceptional results
