Zink Company custom designs each muffler to fit the specific requirements
of your flare tip. To determine the optimum solution for each customer,
Zink experts carefully evaluate cost and performance requirements.
From the available designs, we then select the muffler type that
meets the noise requirements of a specific site and complies with
the predetermined balance of cost and performance.
Each successive John Zink® muffler type represents increased complexity and cost. Type I mufflers provide good noise performance. Type II mufflers provide better noise performance. And Type III mufflers provide the best noise performance, using a Shepard ring.
Zink's proven muffler designs provide efficient, quiet air flow. The new muffler design uses excess air to ensure complete steam/air mixing necessary for smokeless performance of the flare tip. Additionally, the mufflers are lined with acoustical lining for maximum noise suppression.
