Reduce Noise
Emissions from high- and low-frequency noise are sometimes (but not always)
discernable to the human ear. Efforts to be a good, environmentally conscious
neighbor challenge many flare owners and operators to monitor and control
flare-noise emissions. John Zink Company rises to the challenge, researching
the three types of flare noise to develop noise-control solutions for
a variety of applications.
- Combustion noise - emitted from the flame
- Blower noise - emitted from air flares
- Steam noise - emitted from steam flares
Although combustion noise is essentially independent of flare type and configuration, and thus, is beyond the control of any flare vendor, blower and steam noise are controllable.
John Zink offers silencers for installation on some blowers to reduce air-flare noise emissions. Adequate space must be present to employ our blower solution. Contact John Zink to determine if a silencer is the right solution for your air flare.
John Zink also provides flare components to reduce steam noise. Click on the desired
category to learn more about noise control. Then contact a John Zink
