The following maintenance items should be performed periodically and during every shutdown.

Take thickness readings at regular intervals, approximately 20-ft up the stack to verify the thickness of the structure. |

Evaluate stack thickness to determine whether structure is within the "corrosion allowance" specified in the original design. |

Inspect guy-wires regularly. |

Check that cables are not significantly corroded. |
| |

Check that the individual wires are not broken. |
| 3.0 |
Lubricate guy-wires regularly to ensure the mechanical
integrity of the rope. |

Set guy-wire tension according to stack-drawing specifications. |
| 5.0 |
Inspect anchor bolts for corrosion. |
| 6.0 |
Repair chips and cracks in paint, primer, and galvanizing on exterior of structure. |
| 7.0 |
Tighten all bolts on flanges and base plate per original design specifications. |
| 8.0 |
Examine stack for any local deformation that could indicate overstressing. |
