SII MagicLite Ignition
Since the Self-Inspirating Ignition (SII) MagicLite ignition system is located at an accessible location, ignition-panel maintenance can be performed at any time.
Nevertheless, all periodic on-line items should be checked during every shutdown.
Periodic On-line Items

Inspect ignition mixer for cracks. Replace in kind, if necessary. |

Inspect orifice spud. |

Ensure spud is straight and plumb. |
| |
2.2 |
Clean orifice and confirm drilling. |
| |
2.3 |
Replace in kind, if necessary. |
| 3.0 |
Inspect strainer at ignition mixer. Clean screen and replace in kind if necessary. |
| 4.0 |
Break the ignition line at the base of the stack (and/or any other low point). Vigorously rattle the ignition line to remove scale. |
| 5.0 |
Check ignition-gas regulator. Replace diaphragm on a regular schedule. |
| 6.0 |
Check the piezo-electric device. |
| |
6.1 |
Press the manual pushbutton to check for a spark. |
| |
6.2 |
If no spark is apparent, replace the piezo-electric device in kind. |
