Shutdown Items

Air Assisted Flare (EEF-LH)
1.0 Check purge system. (Refer to Purge Reduction checklists.)
2.0 Remove and check pilots. (Refer to EEP checklist.)
3.0 Inspect the LH spider and plenum.
  3.1 Check welds, especially on the arms.
  3.2 Check for erosion at the holes on the arms.
  3.3 Check plenum for concentricity and plumb.
  3.4 Inspect pilot-flame bridges. Replace any worn or missing bridges.
4.0 Check staging controls.
  4.1 Confirm PLC program is latest version.
  4.2 Check set points on pressure switches.
  4.3 Check pressure taps to confirm they are clear.
  4.4 Check pressure-switch lead lines to assure no liquid traps.
  4.5 Check that the isolation valves for the pressure sensors are open.
5.0 Check FFG. (Refer to Ignition checklists.)

Periodic On-line Items

Air Assisted Flare
1.0 Check purge system. (Refer to Purge Reduction checklists.)
2.0 Check pilots. (Refer to EEP checklist.)
3.0 Check FFG. (Refer to Ignition checklists.)
4.0 Check blower.
  4.1 Lubricate on manufacturers recommended cycle.
  4.2 Check motor amperage seasonally. Blower motor will draw more amps during cold weather.
  4.3 Check for vibration.
  4.4 Check and clean blower inlet screen.
  4.5 Confirm damper open and closed position, if applicable.
