COOLmix combines Zink's LeanPremix strategy with quasi-flameless combustion techniques to reduce NOx emissions by as much as 90% over a full range of burner applications, in many cases eliminating the need for expensive SCR NOx reduction technology.
LeanPremix induces 100% of the combustion air through Zink's cutting-edge venturi design and stages the fuel to create a significant delineation between the zones of combustion. Quasi-flameless combustion results when the low combustion temperatures inherent in the LeanPremix primary zone couple with the vitiated fuel composition provided by staged, secondary fuel. As a result, our ultra low-NOx burners reduce both thermal and prompt NOx.
