Process Burner Operator Training (PB171)

Course Pre-reqs: Process Burner Theory

Designed for:

Operators using process burners.

Course Overview:

Students will learn safe process burner operation. This course includes 2 days in the classroom learning the basics of process burners and 1 day in John Zink Hamworthy Combustion’s world class test facility with hands-on burner operation in a process heater. Students will also get to troubleshoot typical problems and learn routine burner maintenance.

*Students attending PB171 should bring the following Personal Protection Equipment (PPE):

  • Full flame retardant coveralls
  • Steel toe footwear
  • Eyewear – safety type Z-87, with side shields

Safety glasses, hard hat, gloves and ear protection will be provided by the John Zink Institute.
